We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. You seem to have covered all the bases, but I'll look out for glitches.
As for a GTK theme, you might be able to pull apart the cthulhain theme and see what that uses - it's a fairly dark theme too, so it might fit in with what you want. I've no idea how you'd do such a thing though.
GTK theme im trying is Darkwood, but I havent really dug around too much for something suiting. Think I might just roll a pixmap gtk theme and be done with it.
